CMCO first day sees big rush for the pawnbrokers

People across the country race to the pawn shops today to pay the interest on their loans so as not to lose for good the items they have pledged as collateral. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Hasnoor Hussein, May 4, 2020.

LONG queues were seen today outside pawnshops as customers rushed to pay the delayed interest on their loans and renew their pawn receipts for their valuables which they had put down as collateral.

The pawnbrokers are open for business for the first time since March 18, when the movement control order came into force.

  • It shows that it is just peanuts is what the government provided to the B40's even than the government can give the facts of figures of who they are and who has received it, it is just a big show and the reality is far fetch. I also wonder how many has gone to see Ah Long cause they don't have anything to pawn.
