TWENTY-SEVEN new Covid-19 cases have been detected at a construction site on Jalan Ampang, Annuar Musa said today.
The Star reported the Federal Territories minister as saying that the cases were detected after a worker fell ill and sought treatment at a clinic.
The Health Ministry was alerted by the clinic after the worker tested positive.
Annuar said in a Facebook live broadcast today that the 27 new cases raised the total of new cases in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya since May 1 to 36.
Of this, one new case was from the Selayang wholesale market while eight were in Putrajaya.
Malaysia today recorded 105 new cases, the first time in 16 days that new infections were in triple digits after a run of double digits.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that, of the 105 new cases, 94 were local transmissions and only 11 were imported.
The cumulative number of cases is now 6,176, of which 1,747 are active cases after deaths and recoveries. β May 2, 2020.
