A CARGO train derailed at the KTMB Bank Negara station this morning, disrupting rail services to several parts of the Klang Valley.

It will take three days to restore services following the derailment that occurred around 5am today, the railway company said through its Twitter account, @ktm_berhad.

Normal services passing through the KL, Bank Negara, Putra and Segambut stations have now been temporarily halted, it added.

KTMB advised commuters to seek alternative rail services such as the MRT in Sungai Buloh, Kajang, Muzium Negara, Pasar Seni and the LRT from Subang Jaya.

There will only be limited services on certain lines, namely Tanjung Malim-Kepong, Port Klang-KL Sentral, Tampin/Seremban-KL Sentral and Batu Caves-Sentul, it added.

Buses will also be available at the Sentul and KL Sentral stations to alleviate the situation, it added. Bus services at KL Sentral will be at the KLIA Express departure hall’s parking area.

Commuters can also take the electric train service (ETS) by switching from the Sg Buloh MRT station, KTMB said and apologised for the inconvenience. – November 23, 2017.
