POLICE have recorded statements from the daughter and son-in-law of Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for violating the movement control order (MCO).

CID director Huzir Mohamed said the couple are being investigated for possible spread of infection or any disease dangerous to life and for violating the MCO.

“An investigation paper has been opened against Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid and her husband following an Instagram post uploaded by the latter, after her meeting with several ministers.

“They had their statements recorded yesterday. The police wanted to make it clear that no one is above the law,” said Huzir.

If found guilty, Nurulhidayah and her husband can be jailed for up to six months, fined, or both.

Nurulhidayah shared a picture on her Instagram taken in Putrajaya after a meeting with Deputy Environment and Water Minister Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad.

The picture showed Nurulhidayah together with her husband and Masrizal. They were standing apart in the photograph.

The MCO was enforced on March 18 to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus which has so far infected 5,742 people and killed 98. The MCO has entered its fourth phase, which ends on May 12. – April 25, 2020.

  • NFA lah! But I wont accuse the police as the politicians will not allow any action to be taken, leaving the police to take the blame.

  • Non VIPs are arrested on the spot, put in cuffs, put in lock-up, produced in court, imposed maximum fine as a 'lesson', while VIPs are invited at their leisure to give statement while BLATANTLY FLAUNTING their immunity.

  • Selection and dismissal of top 5 positions can't be the sole prerogative of PM. Thats the key problem in Malaysia for the authority of PM has no check and balance. PH wanted to change it but no blessing from the former PM. So rakyat suffer again.
AG, IGP, Army Chief, CJ and Bank Governor must be screened by Parliament Select Committee before presenting to PM for final selection. Bersatu don't want this system bcos PM come from their party, they want PM to gave absolute power. Your right , my right and everybody's right isGiven Up and we rakyat continue to suffer.
