Zero active Covid-19 cases in 65 districts

A TOTAL of 65 districts nationwide have reported zero active Covid-19 cases as of noon yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s infographics.

This is an increase by one from 64 the previous day.

Rembau, which was once categorised as red zone with a total of 53 cases, now has zero active cases.

Hilir Perak, which had 65 cases, is now down to one active case.

Kinta, Lahad Datu and Kota Baru all of which were red zones, now have active cases in the single digit.

As of noon yesterday, there were 70 districts in the yellow zone, with less than 20 active cases.

Meanwhile, 13 districts remained as red zones with more than 41 active cases.

States, which do not report any new infections in all of its districts within 14 days, can be declared a green zones, the health ministry said previously.

Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur remains the district with the highest number of cases with a total of 670 infections. Of these, 210 are active cases.

Malaysia yesterday reported 5,603 infections, of which 1,966 were active cases, and 95 deaths to date. – April 24, 2020.
