WOMEN and Family Development Minister Rina Harun today said no one was overlooked in the government’s distribution of aid during a pandemic.

She said more than 260,000 food baskets and various other assistance had been handed out since the movement control order came into force.

“The distribution was conducted via 108 Social Welfare Department offices throughout the country,” she told reporters after presenting aid to the residents of Al-Fattah Old Folk’s Home, in Semenyih, near Kuala Lumpur.

The home also received RM8,200 for provisions for its residents during the shutdown.

Rina was responding to Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh’s claims that at least 54 opposition constituencies had yet to receive the promised food aid.

“I have seen the MP’s statement which showed zero aid in Seremban, Negri Sembilan when I have personally handed over the aid in Seremban,” said Rina.
