Muar latest red zone while Lembah Pantai keeps top spot for most virus cases

MUAR in Johor is the latest district to be designated a Covid-19 red zone after total infections in the area reached 44, surpassing the 40-cases mark for enhanced movement control measures, the Health Ministry said today.

This brings the total number of red zones in the country to 27, as of noon today.

Areas with more than 40 cases are labelled red, 20-40 orange, and 1-19 yellow. A green zone is infection free.

Meanwhile, for the 12th day running, Lembah Pantai is home to the most number of infections with 572 cases.

Other red zones are Hulu Langat (433), Petaling (359), Kuching (240), Seremban (261), Kluang (201), Johor Baru (184), Klang (167), Gombak (141), Kepong (131), Titiwangsa (122), Kinta (93), Kota Baru (90), Kuantan (91), Tawau (79), Cheras (74), Jasin (68), Hilir Perak (65), Jerantut (70), Sepang (67), Rembau (53), Putrajaya (54), Batu Pahat (51), Kota Samarahan (51), Melaka Tengah (51) and Hulu Selangor (49).

As of noon, there were 170 new infections, taking the total to 4,987, and five deaths, for a toll of 82. – April 15, 2020.
