IT’S still not too late for Pakatan Harapan and PAS to resolve their differences.
All they need to do is to sit down and thrash out their problems before the next general election, said PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali.
“We have to sit down, talk and discuss. I believe this has been a method or mechanism that we’ve been using for many years,” Azmin was reported as saying in The Star Online after attending the Perak PKR convention yesterday.
“There have been many issues in the past that were sensitive, which we managed to resolve through discussion and consultation. We understand the sensitivity but we must look at the bigger picture.
“Our biggest enemies are Barisan Nasional and Umno.
Azmin said PKR believe that PAS still have a role to play in GE14.
He said the principle of a straight fight between an opposition party candidate against Barisan should be maintained in the next general election.
“It’s going to be easy but as political party leaders, we need to have the humility to accept differences and views of others.
“The bottom line is to have a consensus to work against Barisan and Umno.”
Azmin called for unity between all Pakatan Harapan parties in his speech earlier that day and also for PAS to face GE14.
“Hopefully, DAP, Amanah, Bersatu, and also PAS can work together,” he said.
“Like husband and wife, we can have our differences but let us not destroy our house,” he added. – May 1, 2017.
