PARTI Cinta Malaysia (PCM) wants to join forces with PAS to form Gagasan Sejahtera.
PCM president Huan Cheng Guan said the Penang-based party formed in 2009 was discussing the possibility of joining up with PAS after their muktamar.
Gagasan Sejahtera is currently made up of PAS, Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Ikatan) and Barisan Jemaah Islamiah Se-Malaysia (Berjasa).
“If we decide to be an ally, our focus will be on abuse of power, eradicating corruption and environmental issues in Penang,” he told The Star Online yesterday.
Huan also said they would raise issues affecting housing, transport, retrenchment and closing of multinational companies in Penang.
“Currently, we are an independent party, but PAS have been a good friend, and this may change into a closer working cooperation. I see that there can be an alliance in Penang.
PCM is started by former Gerakan vice president and Batu Kawan MP Huan.
PCM failed to win any of the seats they contested during the 13th General Election with most of their candidates losing their deposits. β May 1, 2017.
