66 police officers have Covid-19, more than 1,200 under quarantine

SIXTY-SIX police officers have tested positive for Covid-19, while another 1,225 officers and their families are under quarantine.

Bukit Aman’s Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the quarantine order began yesterday (April 7).

Among them are 155 senior officers.

“As to the others in quarantine, 654 are rank-and-file officers and 381 are family members,” he told a press conference at Bukit Aman this afternoon.

Acryl Sani said officers enforcing the movement-control order are being closely monitored and said the force would continue to serve undaunted despite the risks. – April 8, 2020.
