MALAYSIA today recorded more Covid-19 recoveries than infected cases: 236 patients have been discharged from hospitals compared to 131 new positive cases.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah 1,241 people have now recovered from the virus.
The total number of cases in the country is 3,793.
Malaysia also recorded one more Covid-19 death today, bringing the toll to 62.
A total of 102 patients are still seeking treatment in intensive care units, with 51 needing respiratory support.
On the latest death, Dr Noor Hisham said the victim was a 67-year-old man with a history of diabetes and high blood pressure.
He also had a history of close contacts with some positive cases from the tabligh cluster.
“He was treated at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu from March 29 and was confirmed dead at 10.22am on April 5,” he said. – April 6, 2020.
