A 57-YEAR-OLD woman is the 35th person in Malaysia to have died of Covid-19, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The director-general of health said the deceased, who had travelled to Indonesia, was pronounced dead at 4pm today.
“She was admitted to Putrajaya Hospital on March 17, and later (transferred) to the Kuala Lumpur and Sungai Buloh Hospitals,” he said, adding that she was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 18.
Earlier today, Dr Noor Hisham said seven people had died from the virus.
He said with 150 new cases of infection reported as on 12pm today, the national toll has gone up to 2,470.
Sixty-eight people have recovered from the novel flu-like disease and have been discharged from hospital in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 388.
Worldwide the number of infections has reached 664,974, while death toll has topped 30,000. – March 29, 2020.
