Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says the Statistics Training Institute in Sungkai, Perak, is an ideal facility for infectious disease control. – March 29, 2020.

THE Statistics Training Institute in Sungkai, Perak, has been turned into a quarantine centre to house those who had close contact with Covid-19 patients from the Hilir Perak cluster, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

“The purpose of quarantine stations is to isolate individuals who have a high risk of getting infected or infecting others to curb the spread of the disease,” Noor Hisham said in a Facebook post.
