Najib, Rosmah visit Anwar in hospital

PRIME Minister Najib Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, today visited opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Najib shared a picture on his Twitter account @najibrazak.

“I visited Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Hospital Kuala Lumpur today.

“He just had an operation a few days ago. May he get well soon,” Najib said.

Anwar’ son, Muhamad Ihsan, thanked Najib and Rosmah for meeting his father, who is now recuperating after an operation on the right shoulder joint.

The shoulder injury, Ihsan said, was worsened from imprisonment and an accident last month while under the custody of the authorities.

“May I take this opportunity to request that our father, Anwar Ibrahim, be allowed to recuperate in a medical facility outside of prison and given access to all modalities of physiotherapy until full recovery.

“We want to express our utmost appreciation to the team of surgeons, HKL hospital staff and prison personnel for the treatment and care of my father.”

Anwar is serving a five-year sentence for sodomy. – November 17, 2017.

  • All web portals carrying this news have published the same photo that appears in Najib’s Twitter account, which seems to be the only source of news of Najib and Rosmah’s visit to Anwar in the hospital. So, it is fair to assume that the photo was pre-planned by Najib for the purpose of splashing the news through his Twitter account. If the visit was sincere, did he have to do all this pre-planning?
    Lest we forget, Najib is still facing an unrebutted allegation that he secretly paid RM9.5 million to his personal lawyer Shafee to prosecute Anwar. Shafee and the alleged sodomy victim Saiful were also in Najib’s house a few days before Saiful lodged the police report against Anwar.
    These facts speak for themselves regarding Najib’s role in the universally condemned incarceration of Anwar, which also account for the suffering Anwar is presently going through.
