SELANGOR Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said he remains loyal to PKR and will respect the mandate given by the people to Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the last general election.

Widely known as a loyalist to sacked PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali, Amirudin said he will not leave PKR to join any other party.

“I am with PKR. I am not an independent state rep, or have been sacked by the party.

“When Azmin left PKR, I chose to remain in PKR. As promised in GE14, I will fulfill our promises to the people.

“I am a party man,” said the Sg Tua state rep after attending a meeting with state PH today.

He also said PH will continue to rule Selangor despite Bersatu’s defection.

Bersatu, along with Azmin and 10 other former PKR leaders, have joined forces with Barisan Nasional and PAS to form the federal government.

The exit of Bersatu and Azmin’s allies resulted in the collapse of the PH government in Putrajaya.

State PH leaders also announced today that Bersatu leaders and members will cease to be a party in the state government, local councils, village committees and state agencies.

Last week, angy PKR supporters had accosted Amirudin outside the party headquarters in Petaling Jaya over his links with Azmin. – March 5, 2020.
