STERN police warning has foiled unnecessary trouble by outside elements during the ongoing political vacuum last week, said Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador.

Hamid said his men got wind of the outside elements through gathered intelligence.

He, however, refused to reveals details of these outside elements and what trouble they were planning.

“We got information through our intelligence. And my stern warning has been effective.

“I can’t reveal anything more,” he said at a press conference in Bukit Aman today.

He said the police will come down hard on anyone bringing in outside elements to cause trouble in the current political climate.

Last Friday, Hamid said the police had heard rumours of outside elements being planned to cause trouble in the country.

“I am warning them not to do so. This is an act of treason,” he told reporters after having an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara. – March 2, 2020.
