DR MAHATHIR Mohamad and Pakatan Harapan will not attend the swearing in ceremony of Muhyiddin Yassin as the new prime minister at Istana Negara today.

Muhyiddin, 73, is due to be sworn in as Malaysia’s eighth prime minister this morning, claiming the backing of 114 out of 222 MPs.

But Dr Mahathir and PH, after a night of signing statutory declarations in support of the 93-year old, also say they have the majority for him to become prime minister now.

Dr Mahathir said he is unable to see the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to convey this.

“The King has made a decision not to see me anymore but to appoint Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“So I do not have the chance to tell the King that he doesn’t have the majority.

“That is the situation now. I cannot communicate with the palace,” Dr Mahathir said at a press conference this morning at Yayasan Al-Bukhary in Kuala Lumpur.

On the next step, he said it was PH’s duty was to inform the people that Muhyiddin is not the rightful prime minister as he does not have the majority support of the MPs. – March 1, 2020.

  • To the crooks who have hijacked the government through crooked and wicked schemes. There is a God of Heaven and Earth who is watching, your "reward" is coming very soon, it will be just and swift. You cannot get away with your evil endeavours. The good and righteous will be vindicated.
