12 students arrested over Kelantan boy’s assault

POLICE have detained 12 students in connection with the assault of a 15-year-old boy at a Kelantan school on Sunday.

Pasir Mas district police chief Mohamad Roy Suhaimi said the students were detained between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday after the victim lodged a report.

“Nine of the students were detained at the school, two at their homes, and one surrendered himself at the district police headquarters,” he said in a statement yesterday.

He said the students, aged 15 and 16, underwent a urine test, and the results came back negative.

The case is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code.

It was reported that the victim suffered bruises on the face and body after he was beaten up, with the fight believed to be over a girl.

  • Kelantan is also in a democratic country. If you don't like the way the state government rule just leave the state. Go and live somewhere else. The state government is elected by the people who wants the state to be ruled this manner for generatikns. We'd rather be poor than kow towing to the demands of the unthankfull minorities.
