FORMER prime minister Najib Razak’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, has been admitted to a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur for treatment last night, reported Malaysiakini

Rosmah’s lawyer for her ongoing graft trial, Akberdin Abdul Kadir, confirmed her hospitalisation in a text message to the news portal.

Akberdin said the number of days she will be warded at the hospital depends on the doctor.

“Yes. Subject to the doctor’s advice,” Akberdin was quoted by Malaysiakini, adding that Najib also was at the hospital last night.

Yesterday, Rosmah’s graft trial was postponed after lead defence counsel Jagjit Singh informed the Kuala Lumpur High Court that his client was not well and was ordered by doctors to rest.

He also furnished the court with a copy of the medical report.

The medical report said the 69-year-old Rosmah was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis, osteoarthritis on both knees and chronic adrenal insufficiency.

Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan said he was sympathetic towards Rosmah and her medical condition and ordered that the case be resumed tomorrow.

The judge also suggested that she come in a wheelchair and he will grant her a break whenever she requires one.

Rosmah is accused of three counts of corruption amounting to hundreds of millions of ringgit involving a solar hybrid project to provide electricity to 369 rural schools in Sarawak.

She allegedly solicited for a RM187.5 million bribe from Jepak Holdings Sdn Bhd managing director Saidi Abang Samsudin through her then aide Rizal Mansor. – February 4, 2020.

  • Revoke her bail and see how fast she recovers. Believe me, it will work better than whatever her half-past-six doctors are prescribing.
