THE United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation’s (Upko) Putatan chief, Marcus Makin Mojigoh, along with almost all of the division’s committee members, yesterday announced that they are quitting the party with immediate effect.

Majigoh said only division deputy chief Alex Martin and committee member Jacky Litong are staying.

The former Putatan MP said among the reasons for the mass departure is dissatisfaction with the Upko leadership for being “insensitive” to the grassroots’ complaints.

“Putatan Upko disagreed with the party leadership’s support for the implementation of the Sabah Temporary Pass previously.

“The division is also excluded from posts at the district level,” he told a press conference at his home in Kg Kotiduvan Duvanson near Kota Kinabalu.

He dismissed speculation that those who left Upko will join Parti Bersatu Sabah, after the presence of its president, Maximus Ongkili, and several members at Majigoh’s Chinese New Year open house shortly after the quit announcement set tongues wagging. – Bernama, January 27, 2020.

  • A bunch of opportunists, typical to Sabah politicians. Low class actors but parasites on their host authority for funds and positions. Would go back to the party after offer given to them.
