THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has released audio recordings that include former prime minister Najib Razak, senior government officials and individuals from the United Arab Emirates involved in 1Malaysia Development Bhd’s dealings.
The anti-graft agency called a press conference, which is taking place now, and playing the audio clips that allegedly show conspiracy to manipulate high-level government information.
MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya said today the audio recordings involve Najib, his wife, Rosmah Mansor, former Umno politician and ex-Lembaga Tabung Haji chairman Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, former MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad, one Tan Sri Shukri and two individuals from the UAE.
The conversations took place in January, February and July of 2016.
In total, there are nine recordings which the MACC will be sharing with the relevant authorities, said Latheefa.
“The recordings show a clear case of abuse of power, conspiracy, fabrication of false evidence and leaking state secrets,” she told the press in Putrajaya today.
The Malaysian Insight is covering Latheefa’s press conference on Facebook Live.
In one clip of a telephone conversation, Najib’s voice is heard and he also introduces himself as “Najib Razak”, to which the individual at the other end of the line greets him as “Mr Prime Minister”.
Najib refers to the other party as “your highness”.
The conversation appears to be about a loan agreement to disguise money-laundering activities involving 1MDB funds.
It also refers to Najib’s stepson, Riza Aziz, when Najib said: “I also have this personal request, your highness, that relates to Riza”.
In another clip, Najib and his conversation partner discuss a meeting with Riza and whether a lawyer should be present. – January 8, 2020.

This must be a distraction and we should be forewarned that we do not take our eyes from what is more important for our country-Education Minister, Corruption and Racial discrimination. This act I believe is to deflect the issues.
If MACC was so transparent-let us see the list of all the people who took maoney from Najib fraudulently. Why hide the list MACC? Give the public the names-we know fromer UMNO ministers in JB got 2-3 million ringgit. If you are going to be transparent show us the list. This is a load of $%^& . MACC will only allow the public to see the names of those crooks who dont return the money-what nonsense! They should be exposed and charged for CBY, fraud, cheating, corruption and everything else.
No respect for MACC-another department working with the executive-totally impartial. Sad.

" Police have received the findings from foreign experts on the analysis to determine the authenticity of a sex video allegedly implicating Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz. Federal police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the report was received at the end of last year.
Can you also release the findings and evidence to the public. I think this is of national security and interest. If Najibs tapes can be released we would like to know whether the Minister should be charged by the Sharia Court for rape/molestation etc.
