Malaysia Airports Holdings CEO resigns

MALAYSIA Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) group chief executive officer Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

The airport operator said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that Raja Azmi has left the company with immediate effect.

He had assumed the position on January 4, 2019, joining MAHB as the chief financial officer on February 1, 2016, and serving as acting CEO following the retirement of Mohd Badlisham Ghazali.

Meanwhile, the board of directors said in a statement that chief operating officer Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh has been appointed acting CEO for the interim.

“The board would like to thank Raja Azmi for his services and would like to wish him well in his future endeavours,” it said.

“As a public listed company, MAHB will be undertaking the proper process to identify and appoint a suitable successor,” it added.

MAHB’s share price closed at RM7.56 with more than 2 million shares traded. – January 6, 2020.
