Leaders with moral values needed to lead the nation, says Umno deputy chief

HIGH moral values and outstanding intellectuals are among the factors that must be present in future Malay leaders who will lead the nation, said Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan today.

He said only leaders with such capabilities and caliber can turn Malaysia into becoming a leading nation.

“For some time now, the moral crisis affecting our leadership is worrying.

“This country must not be led by someone with a suspect morality. Malaysia needs leaders who are fair and humble,” he said in his speech to officiate the annual meeting of Umno’s Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings at the Putra World Trade Centre.

He urged Umno’s Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings to unearth such capable leaders who can lead the party and nation in the future.

“My biggest fear is who should we leave this party to. Our work ahead is big and heavy.

“As a Malay party, we must leave behind a pool of talented Malay leaders who can lead the nation, and not just the party and our race,” he said.

  • Is he or has he been one to make such statement?.. has he got the guts to name those immoral leaders in the supreme council and ask them to leave politics for the wellbeing of the nation and the race...i doubt bcos politicians only talk

Moral values like take buckets of cash haram money, appoint cronies in private and GlC companies to enjoy big annual salaries gaji buta, award contracts of billion to private companies owned by Umno warlords. Your heart and brain is severely polluted, how dare u speak out words of moral values? U better read your grandson secondary school book on moral values and try practise all u read. Common Malays with this kind of corrupted leaders will never come out of poverty.
