RACIAL issues should not be allowed to fester and become a cancer weakening unity among Malaysians, said Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The deputy prime minister said there must be equality to ensure prosperity is shared.
“With the shared prosperity concept, we want to ensure that no one is left behind in the country’s development.
“We can live together… there is no need to mention you are Malay, Chinese or Indian, as we are all Malaysians. This is important and must be continued… this is our future together, ” said the Pandan MP at the constituency’s Deepavali open house yesterday.
She said economic gaps between the races should be plugged immediately, and that the people must practise tolerance, accept cultural and religious differences, and prioritise unity at all times. – Bernama, December 1, 2019.
