THE PKR Youth wing today denied favouring any party leader, saying all members were welcome to attend its events.

Party Youth chief Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said invitations were sent out to all party members.

“The notice to delegates is not directed at any faction. I advise all delegates to attend the AMK Annual National Congress 2019 next week,” he said at the Johor Bahru MP’s office here.

The AMK annual congress on December 6 and will be launched by Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Akmal Nasrullah, who is the Johor Bahru MP, said the youth members always tried to ensure that PKR members remain united.

“The matter of who will officiate at the congress was discussed four times at meetings. The decision has been made and polemics are unnecessary,” he said.

Akmal was commenting on former deputy Youth chief Dr Afif Bahardin’s claim that the wing was taking sides instead of trying to smoothen things out.

Meanwhile, on the splashing of red paint on his MP service centre yesterday, Akmal said the CCTV footage had been handed over to the police.

The footage, believed to have been recorded at 3.24am, shows two individuals approaching the centre, he said.
