YUSOF Apdal, the Umno Lahad Datu assemblyman, has been freed with no condition after serving a six-day remand in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission lock-up.
He is out on a RM100,000 bail in two sureties.
Yusof was also instructed by magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus to report to the MACC office once a month.
He was arrested last Tuesday at the MACC office at the federal administrative complex in Jalan Sulaman, Kota Kinabalu, and was remanded the next day for four days.
MACC extended the remand on Saturday for two days.
Yusof is the ninth person arrested by the commission in its ongoing probe into the alleged embezzlement of some RM1.5 billion earmarked for Sabah rural projects between 2009 and 2015.
Family members, including the wife of Parti Warisan Sabah leader and older brother Shafie Apdal, Shuryani Shuaib, met Yusof upon his release. β October 23, 2017.
