MALAYSIA Airlines Flight MH360, which departed from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing yesterday evening, experienced an air turn back due to a landing gear issue.
Malaysia Airlines said in a statement today that the operating captain decided to return to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in the interest of passenger safety.
“The aircraft landed safely at 9.03pm on the same day and is currently being rectified by engineers.
“Flight MH360, serviced by another aircraft, departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.30am (today) and arrived in Beijing at 6.35am,” the airline said.
Malaysia Airlines added refreshments were provided to all passengers and all onward connections were arranged.
“Safety is Malaysia Airlines’ No. 1 priority at all times and it regrets the inconvenience caused to its passengers,” it added.
It was reported that Flight MH360 departed KLIA at 6pm yesterday and was scheduled to arrive in Beijing at 12.20am today. – Bernama, November 10, 2019.
