POKOK Sena MP Mahfuz Omar will be dropped from the PAS lineup in Kedah after he was seen attending Amanah’s convention in Alor Setar, said a Malaysiakini.com report.

Kedah PAS deputy commissioner Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor told reporters that Mahfuz was seen to be close to Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Together with assemblymen Amiruddin Hamzah (Anak Bukit) and Mohd Nasir Mustafa (Kubang Rotan), Mahfuz had attended a ceramah in Alor Setar last night.

The key speaker at the ceramah was Bersatu and PH chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“I can confirm that Mahfuz is not in PAS’ list of candidates for the next elections. He can find another platform.

“If he is already with PH, he won’t be a PAS candidate,” said Sanusi at a press conference today.

Sanusi, however, declined to say if disciplinary action will be taken against Mahfuz.

Meanwhile, PAS said it will contest all the 36 state and 15 federal seats up for grabs in Kedah.

“PAS is ready to take Kedah from Barisan Nasional and we will contest all seats. If Pakatan also wants to contest, we will fight in three or four corner fights,” he added. – October 21, 2017.
