Letter from Jho Low

ON October 30, a landmark global, comprehensive settlement with the United States Department of Justice, which fully and finally, resolves in their entirety all of the forfeiture actions at issue, was reached.

The agreement does not constitute an admission of guilt, fault, liability and/or any form of wrongdoing on the part of Low or the asset owners.

Low issued the following statement:

“I am very pleased to confirm that a landmark comprehensive, global settlement has been reached with the United States government, which fully and forever resolves in their entirety each of the US government’s civil, criminal, and administrative actions or proceedings relating to the defendant assets at issue in the Central District of California.

“The historic agreement builds on a series of successful prior agreements negotiated with the US Department of Justice and is the result of good faith discussions between the parties.

“Importantly, the agreement does not constitute an admission of guilt, liability or any form of wrongdoing by me or the asset owners. We believe all parties consider this resolution, which is subject to final court approval, to be a successful and satisfactory result.” – October 31, 2019.

  • Why publish a letter from a confirmed felon, one who if we believe MACC has stolen around US$4 billion from the Malaysian public? Does he deserve free publicity from Malaysiakini? Ok have the person responsible for publishing this someone with warped morals. So much for unbiased journalism bereft of morals.

    Was is due to Malaysia REFUSAL to ratify ICERD ???

  • Doesnt matter what terms have been reached between you and DOJ after all it havent been approved and sanctioned by a judge yet, so dont jump with joy fat boy. Even if it does get approved DoJ only wants to make a case to others not to flaw with their financial heaven, which you have crossed. The facts still remained that those are ill gotten funds from the RAKYAT of Malaysia.

  • The Fat Boy only shiok sendiri. The agreement, if anything, confirms that he has stolen huge amount of the countrys public funds in cahoot with the highly corrupt Najib Razak.
