THE Dewan Rakyat has adjourned after Nibong Tebal MP Mansor Othman collapsed during the afternoon debate.
Mansor, a PKR member, was debating the Budget 2020 when he passed out at about 3.15pm, prompting fellow lawmakers to help him out of the hall.
Deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming called for medical assistance before adjourning the session.
Mansor regained his consiousness and taken to the parliament clinic in a wheel chair.
A parliament doctor is now attending Mansor, who is the former Penang deputy chief minister.
Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is also in the clinic.
“He is okay. His blood pressure was low. But going by procedure, he is being referred to a hospital for a full check-up,” she said.
The parliament resumed its meeting at 3.30pm with Nga telling members to take care of their health.
