UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today dismissed claims that Hishammuddin Hussein is involved in a plot to form a new unity government without DAP and Amanah.

Zahid said he was confident the former party vice-president was not involved in such a plot, as claimed by the Pakatan Harapan secretariat.

“This is just an accusation against Hishammuddin. He is not such a person. He is genuine in wanting to see Umno remain united,” Zahid said after officiating the Selangor Umno convention in Shah Alam today.

On Tuesday, PH had slammed Hishammuddin for supposedly working on a plan to form a new government without DAP and Amanah.

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim had also mentioned Hishammuddin as being involved in such a move.

The Sembrong MP had, however, denied being involved in the alleged plan. – October 19, 2019.
