PALESTINIANS need to be united and come up with a winning strategy to regain their lands from Israel, said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today.

“It is time that we sit down and plan a campaign to get Palestine back for the Palestinians, or at the very least for them to be able to return to Palestine to reclaim all their properties,” he said during a press conference on the sidelines of the 74th United Nations general assembly today.

“First, the Palestinians must be united and not broken up into so many factions, doing things on their own.

“Then, come together to plan how to recover. Only then there will be some hope to win,” said the world’s oldest sitting prime minister.

He said the Palestinians had failed to get back their land since the creation of Israel in 1948.

“In fact, they keep on losing more and more as the Israeli build settlements in Palestinian territory.”

He said the Palestinians kept failing because they did not have a winning strategy to regain their lands.

“Most of those angry about the situation merely vent their anger by committing acts that do not contribute towards recovery.

“If we go the way of a one person blowing himself up here and there or killing a few, that will not win us the war.

“To win a war, you need to have a proper strategy and a campaign that will get as many people as possible to support you, but we do things that get people to be angry with the Palestinians,” said Dr Mahathir. – September 28, 2019.

  • Please first solve the problem that the Orang Asli have in Malaysia. It would appear that the Malays keep grabbing their land and ignoring provisions accorded by Native Customary Rights.
Wasn't all this going on under successive BN governments including that under Mahathir, and now under PH with Mahathir at the helm again?
