THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission will not be commenting on the video of one of its senior officers allegedly involved in an extramarital affair with a married woman.

MACC deputy chief commissioner Azam Baki refused to comment when asked if the anti-graft body was looking into the matter, which is now a police case.

“I am sorry, I do not want to comment on it,” Azam told The Malaysian Insight.

Another MACC source said the video is an attempt to smear the officer and the anti-graft body.

“Whether or not he (the officer) has viewed the video accusing him of having an affair with a married woman, is not known.

“Maybe he already did. I am not sure,” said the MACC source.

The Malaysian Insight has also contacted Kuala Lumpur police on their investigations into the report and are awaiting their reply.

The allegation appears in a YouTube video that has gone viral and which is now the source of a police investigation.

The couple, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, denied their marriage was over because the wife had an affair with the MACC officer.

They said their divorce was a mutual decision and a private family matter.

They described those responsible for making the allegation, and publicising and manipulating their divorce, as “keji” (despicable).

The nearly three-minute video stated that the woman and her husband divorced on September 28 at the Ulu Klang lower shariah court because of the alleged affair.

It showed several pictures of the woman, with whom the MACC man allegedly had an affair.

Several images featured her with her family, including two young children. – October 13, 2017.

Did he eff the woman while she was married to another man?

If so, he should step down.

If she was already separated or divorced, what is the syariah court's take on the duo being involved in khalwat and zina?
