This so-called alliance of two extremists has less to do with race or religion than the greed for political power. This in essence is prostitution of their disparate ideologies and principles in order to to ensure their place in Putrajaya. Their strategy is predicated one the belief that the average Malay is so foolish that he/she cannot see the forest for the trees. Unfortunately they may be correct!

As a Muslim, I am all confused by this PAS/UMNO unity. A few years ago PAS was all out to introduce Islamic criminals laws with severe punishments, like chopping the hand for theft, into the government. Now, with all the UMNO leaders' corruption cases going on, PAS is willing to pretend that this is nothing wrong. This truly beats logic.
