POLICE have warned Red Shirts leader Jamal Md Yunos today against doing anything illegal ahead of Saturday’s anti-kleptocracy rally after the Sg Besar Umno chief said he will set up a stall to sell “cheap” fish there.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Rashid Ibrahim warned Jamal that he is not above the law and told him to not create any trouble.
“
Yesterday, Jamal said that he would be selling fish at Padang Timur in Petaling Jaya on October 14 at the same time as the Pakatan Harapan rally.
The PH anti-kleptocracy rally is to mark the end of a nationwide ceramah and is scheduled to be held at Padang Timur on Saturday from 4pm to 11pm.
Police have asked PH to move the rally to the Kelana Jaya stadium to avoid traffic congestion and said action will be taken if they insist on having it in Padang Timur.
“We made our assessment based on three things. We want to ensure the safety of the people, no traffic congestion and that the law is observed.
“The organisers need to have social and legal responsibility when holding this event,” Rashid said. – October 12, 2017.
