PAKATAN Harapan is solid and not on the verge of breaking up, its chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad said to claims by Umno that the ruling coalition was suffering from “political gangrene”.
The prime minister was asked to comment on Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s remarks yesterday that PH was suffering an internal crisis or “political gangrene”, with each component party having its own strategy to outdo each other.
Zahid said this in a speech at MIC’s annual general assembly yesterday.
Dr Mahathir said ministers representing all the parties in the coalition could still discuss critical issues together.
“People are still coming up to greet me, while in the cabinet, each member can discuss critical issues and make decisions,” Dr Mahathir told reporters after the World Tourism Conference in Kuala Lumpur today. – August 26, 2019.
