CONTROVERSIAL preacher Dr Zakir Naik returned today to Bukit Aman police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, this time over the reports he filed against four politicians and a former ambassador for allegedly defaming him.

Zakir has had two other appointments this month with the cops, who had questioned the Indian national over a provocative speech in Kota Baru, Kelantan, where he had allegedly cast doubt on the loyalty of Malaysian Hindus and questioned the position of the Chinese community in Malaysia.

He then lodged reports against the Malaysian leaders who spoke up in outrage over his remarks. Reports were filed against former Malaysian ambassador Dennis Ignatius and four elected representatives from DAP – Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran, Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy, Klang MP Charles Santiago and Bagan Dalam assemblyman Satees Muniandy, for allegedly defaming him.

Zakir also had his lawyers serve Kulasegaran a letter demanding an apology and an offer of a “reasonable sum” from Kulasegaran within 48 hours of the delivery of the notice. The letter was served on August 16.

Kulasegaran said he would see Zakir in court.

Zakir was this afternoon accompanied by his lawyer Akberdin Abdul Kader to Bukit Aman, where police will take down his statement to assist in investigations. – August 22, 2019.

Our own country in a mess now with ever increasing govt debt but yet busy body trying to help a wanted suspect by another big power country whom we depend heavily for their palm oil import from us. Pls for goodness sake don't join the outskirt Kelantan and Trengganu Muslims to openly support Zakir. A stadium full of audience, but how many can understand English?
