Family claim body of Nora Anne

THE family have claimed the body of Franco-Irish Nora Anne Quoirin at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban, Negri Sembilan.

The body was retrieved from the Forensic Medicine Department at 12.42am today .

Her parents Sebastien Philipe and Meabh Quoirin were not seen at the hospital.

“I was told by hospital officials that the body has just been claimed. It is learnt that the body has been taken to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport),” said Negri Sembilan police chief Mohamad Mat Yusop.

The van transporting the body arrived at the hospital under police escort at 12.38am. 

The body of the 15-year-old girl was found on Tuesday about 2.5km from the where she and her family were staying, near Seremban. 

The Quoirins reported her missing on August 4,  a day after they had checked in for a two-week holiday.  

A post-mortem revealed that Nora Anne had died of gastrointestinal bleeding due to starvation and stress. She had been dead two or three days when her body was found.
