YANG di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are saddened by the death of Nora Anne Quoirin, said Istana Negara.

The Franco-Irish teenager’s body was found on Tuesday. She was reported missing on August 4, a day after her family checked into The Dusun resort near Seremban for a two-week holiday.

“(The king and queen) are deeply saddened by the death of young Nora Anne,” said Comptroller of the Royal Household Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin in a statement today.

He said the royal couple offer their condolences and sympathies to Nora Anne’s family.

He added that Sultan Abdullah thanks the rescuers and volunteers involved in the 10-day search for the 15-year-old, as well as British, French and Irish authorities for the support rendered.

“The Agong advises the public not to speculate on the case, (and wait) until the police investigation is completed.”

The remains of Nora Anne, a special needs child, were found in a ravine some 2km from The Dusun. – Bernama, August 15, 2019.
