Nora Anne’s autopsy not yet completed, say police

Last night, Nora Anne Quorin’s family were at the hospital to identify her body. Pathologists from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital arrived at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban this morning to conduct an autopsy on Nora Anne, which is still ongoing. – The Malaysian Insight pic, August 14, 2019.

THE post mortem of Irish teenager Nora Anne Quoirin is yet to be completed after eight hours, said Negri Sembilan police deputy chief SAC Che Zakaria Othman.

He said the pathologists are still carrying out the autopsy. 

“The post mortem has been conducted since 11.45am and it is still ongoing. Therefore, we have not received the cause of her death,” he said at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban this evening. 

The post mortem is being conducted by several pathologists from Kuala Lumpur.

Che Zakaria did not mention when they will conclude the examination. 

He said the autopsy is being conducted by pathology expert Dr Siew Sheue Feng from Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Dr Hanif Mohammad from Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, and assisted by forensic DNA officers Noor Aidura Saadon and Sufian Arshad Mohammad from Petaling Jaya. 

He added that investigation is still ongoing at the site of recovery.

“There are no new findings to be reported. 

“After getting orders from the state police chief, I will issue another statement tomorrow.”

The body of Nora Anne, a 15-year-old special-needs girl, was found yesterday afternoon about 2km from the Dusun resort where she and her family checked in on August 3 for a two-week holiday.

She went missing the following day and a massive search and rescue operation was launched immediately. – August 14, 2019.
