POLICE believe the body found in a small stream 2km away from the Dusun Pantai Hill eco-resort, near Seremban, is that of Nora Anne Quoirin, the British teenager who has been missing for 10 days.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Mazlan Mansor said the body, which was found naked, resembled Nora but police still need official confirmation from the hospital.
“It is early to (say if there were) criminal elements in the case but we will cover all angles,” Mazlan said.
“At about 2pm today we were alerted by our search and rescue team of the discovery.
“We found a white, female body in a small stream located 2km away from the resort without any clothes on.”
Mazlan said the body was flown to Seremban Hospital for a post mortem and that the Quoirin family had been informed.
“Because the area where the body was found was steep, we had to airlift it using a helicopter,” he said.
He said the body was found by a group of volunteers who had registered with the police to join the search.

Mazlan said search parties had previously covered the area where the body was found.
“We had covered the area before, that is why we moved from 2km radius to 4km and then to a 6km radius.”
The 15-year-old Nora went missing on August 4 from her villa at The Dusun resort.
She had arrived with her parents and siblings from London for a two-week holiday the day before.
Search parties had used sniffer dogs, helicopters and drones to look for the teenager.
Police also went knocking on the doors of at least 30 houses and villas near The Dusun Resort in search of the teenager.
Yesterday, her parents announced a reward of RM50,000 for information leading to the return of their daughter.
The money was donated by an anonymous Belfast-based business. – August 13, 2019.
