PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad will appear in Parliament to answer questions from MPs every Wednesday in a new move introduced by the government known as the Prime Minister’s Question Time (PMQT).
“I will appear every Wednesday for questions,” he told reporters this evening after a Pakatan Harapan Council Meeting.
Previously, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Liew Vui Keong had said there was no need for a PMQT session.
“The current Minister’s Question Time (MQT), scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is sufficient for now,” he had said.
“I think, for now we don’t really need the PMQT yet, but in time to come and when the need arises, then we probably can consider it but the MQT is sufficient.”
