POLICE have received 17 reports over the sex video clips allegedly featuring PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Mazlan Mansor.

Mazlan, however, refused to divulge details of the investigations.

”We are in the middle of investigating the matter. Seventeen police reports have been lodged. I cannot reveal how many statements have been recorded.

”There are a number of reports,” he said.

Asked if cops have called up Azmin, Mazlan said: “It is being done. It is being done.”

It was reported yesterday that cops will be calling up Azmin to Bukit Aman to have his statement recorded.

The Malaysian Insight had contacted Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Huzir Mohamed for comments on the matter.

Mazlan was then pressured to clarify on the authenticity of the sex clip.

However, he declined to reveal the authenticity of the clip, saying it was being tested by the forensic team.

“I have said that I will not explain more on it. Let us investigate first.

”We are waiting for the forensic report and so far there is no time frame for it,” Mazlan said when asked.

Last week, Haziq confessed in a 30-second video posted on his Facebook page to being the other man in bed with Azmin in the sex video.

Haziq, who is also the principal private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, said the video was taken “without his consent” in a hotel room in Sandakan on May 11.

On Friday, Haziq was arrested at klia2 as he was trying to catch a plane to Manila in the Philippines.

He was later released on police bail after his statement was recorded.

Azmin, on the other hand, denied being Haziq’s gay sex partner.

“I was made to understand by police, my political secretary Muhammad Hilman Idham was also called in to give his views this morning (last week).

“I have full confidence in police professionalism and hope the process of the probe will go on smoothly,” he said. – June 17, 2019.
