THE public should stop circulating the sex video clips allegedly featuring a cabinet minister as well as other related postings on social media as it will just hamper investigations, said Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador.

The IGP told The Malaysian Insight that at the moment, things are still not clear but police will prioritise cases of interest.

”At the moment, things are still not clear. Let it be.

”At the same time there is a police report lodged. We will take it from there,” Abdul Hamid told The Malaysian Insight.

The report was lodged by Umno member Lokman Adam yesterday.

So far, neither Economics Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali nor his accuser, Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdul Aziz, have lodged police reports.

Azmin, however, today issued a statement denying that he was in the viral sex video.

Haziq had confessed in a 30-second video posted on his Facebook page early this morning to being the other man in bed with Azmin.

Haziq, who is also the principal private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, said the video was taken “without his consent” in a hotel room in Sandakan on May 11.

Abdul Hamid, meanwhile, urged the public to stop circulating the sex video.

”Stop it. Everybody wants to take part in this issue but in the end nobody wins.

”Give us time and we will investigate. Let the dust settle,” he said.

The clips have gone viral through messaging applications since this morning. The authenticity of the videos have not been verified.

Lokman told The Malaysian Insight that he wanted the authorities to investigate the clips as they showed homosexual acts that were unlawful and against Islam. – June 12, 2019.
