PAS has weighed in on the sex video controversy, urging Islamic authorities to charge Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz under shariah law after he admitted to having gay sex in his Facebook posting today.
The Islamist party’s deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said Sabah’s Islamic authorities should look into this as the incident allegedly took place in a hotel in Sandakan.
Haziq, in the 30-second video, admitted that he is the man in the video and named a minister as his sex partner.
He said the recording in the hotel room was done without his consent.
He added that the incident took place at the Four Points Hotel in Sandakan on May 11, during the recent by-election.
“The state’s Syariah Court must take action since there is a confession,” Tuan Ibrahim said in a statement.
He also urged PAS members not to share the sex clips.
“We must not indulge ourselves in slander without personally witnessing it.
“PAS should focus on things that are beneficial to the community,” he said.
Haziq, is the private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin. – June 12, 2019.
