THE politicisation of race and religion has escalated in recent times, undermining certain institutional and social reforms that concerned Malaysians, including academics and social activists, have been pushing for.

  • Once upon a time Islam was considered the fastest growing religion in the world. What is our reality today? 1. Among the refugees, Muslims are the majority. 2. Among the corrupt, at least in Malaysia we are also the majority. 3. In poverty, we are also at the top because what ever the Muslim controlled government in Malaysia is doing is not good enough for us. 4. All airports, bus, train and other types of travel stations, the world over, look at Muslim travellers suspiciously. Will the two photographs used with this article add or minus all the woes Muslims are suffering in the world? I see a very bleak future for us if we continue this trend.
