Zakir Naik associate arrested for allegedly insulting Hinduism

POLICE have arrested an associate of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik after several reports were lodged against him for allegedly insulting Hindu gods.

Muhammad Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu, 35, was detained by Kangar police serious crimes unit (D9) last night.

Perlis police chief Noor Mushar Mohd confirmed the arrest, but declined to give more details.

Zamri is being investigated under the Section 298A of the Penal Code as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for disrupting harmony and transmitting offensive communications.

It is learnt he was previously investigated for three crimes, with two of them being serious offences.

He was detained under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape and 408 of the Penal Code for criminal breach of trust.

It was reported yesterday that 13 police reports were lodged to urge the authorities to take action against Zamri.

Zamri was pictured together with Zakir – who is also wanted by Indian authorities – on many occasions including at several religious events in Perlis. – April 28, 2019.

  • It is always the particular race that converts to become Muslim that are extremely dangerous. They become more Ultra Islamic than their fellow Malay Muslim and worse of all pretending to become more Malay than their fellow Malay themselves. This is very worrying for the Malays and Malaysian as a whole. They idolise Zakir Naik and it will not be a surprise that sucide bombers might start from them. This Vinod kallimuthu has got to be made an example of non tolerable nonsences of spewing malicious racial incitement.

  • What always noted is that correct me if i am wrong All those non malays who CONVERT TO MUSLIMS are mostly from a bad unhealthy background they are either CRIMINALS , CONDUCT SEROIUS BREACH OF TRUSTS IN COMPANIES, RAPIST, HAVE A LOST MINDSET, INVOLVE IN TEMPORARY LOVE AFFAIR, Many More NEGATIVE ENVIROMENT ETC ETC Being RUBBISH GARBAGE in their GOD GIVEN RELIGION they BETRAY THEIR PARENTS MILK N SPERM . Then they try to rise in ISLAM above their Knowledge thus causing Hurt to others. No Matter what religion u belong to HUMAN ORIGINAL CHARACTER REMAINS. In other words converting to islam does not make u any better . Good example is tis guy himself.

  • Zakir Naik insults the Hindu religion and other religions every time he lectures on "COMPARATIVE RELIGION". In these lectures he "proves" that Islam is the only true religion. To do this he "proves" that Hinduism and other religions are fakes. So why is Zakir Naik not arrested yet? There have also been many police reports against Zakir Naik? Selective prosecution??

  • Was he inspired by Zakir Naik? Mujahid said Zakir Naik was a very inspiring person? Berating Hindus is what Zakir Naik is excellent at. He was even able to inspire the Mufti of Perlis to pen a LEMBU poem berating Hindus. This is Asri's poem:

    ..apabila yang mempertuhankan lembu bersatu..
    lantas menyeru agar pendakwah kita dibelenggu..
    mahu diserahkan kepada kerajaan zalim menyembah api dan penganut sati..

  • Zakir Naik is smart. In order not to get caught and extradited to India, he is using associates to preach hatred against other religions. Zamri Vinoth has a criminal record and I won't be surprised he was previously converted by Zakir Naik to act as his mouth piece since he can't preach personally in Malaysia. A true muslim would not be that gullible to be used by Zakir Naik to spread religious hatred in Malaysia. Zambri Vinoth fits the bill.
