2 forensic witnesses in Adib inquest lodge report against alleged threats

POLICE have received reports last Saturday lodged by two Kuala Lumpur Hospital forensic experts who are also witnesses in the inquest on fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim’s death.

Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief senior assistant commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said the reports were lodged at the Subang Jaya police station at 9.28pm last Saturday.

“The case is classified under Section 189 of the Penal Code (threat of injury to any public servant).”

He added the police will not take further statements as the inquest is still going on.

Adib, who was a member of the EMRS Unit of the Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Station, was seriously injured during the riot at the temple on November 27 before succumbing to his injuries on December 17 at the National Heart Institute. – Bernama, April 23, 2019
