Rally for peace this Saturday, says Mujahid

A RALLY for peace and solidarity and rejecting hatred is planned to be held at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Mujahid Yusof.

He said the gathering was aimed at showing the world that Malaysia rejected the ideology of hatred and as a sign of solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attacks on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, last week

He said this was decided at a special meeting for peace and harmony among the various religious and ethnic communities in Kuala Lumpur today. 

He was speaking at a press conference after chairing the meeting, which was attended by heads of religious groups.

Last Friday, two mosques in Christchurch were attacked by a gunman, killing 50 people while dozens more were injured, including three Malaysians. – Bernama, March 18, 2019.

  • "at showing the world that Malaysia rejected the ideology of hatred". This is UNTRUE as long as you keep habouring Zakir Naik. He is a preacher of HATE. He berates all other religions to "prove" that Islam is the only true religion and all others are fake. lt looks hypocritical to hold a rally "at showing the world that Malaysia rejected the ideology of hatred" while hugging Zakir Naik, having tea with him and giving him red-carpet treatment and the freedom to go on bashing other faiths in his lectures.

  • Mujahid is a hypocrite. Now we have a Turkish Muslim shooting innocent civilians in the tram in Utretch . Is he going condemn the shooting and hold another rally fr peace.????????
