PAKATAN Harapan has resolved negotiations for 100 parliamentary seats and is ready to face three-cornered fights in the 14th General Election, said the coalition’s chief secretary, Saifuddin Abdullah.

“I cannot announce the seats, but I think everyone can predict.

“We have settled (negotiations) for more than (100 seats), but I still cannot announce it; only 100 (parliamentary seats) today,” the former deputy education minister said in a press conference at the Amanah headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

He said PH was entering the second stage of negotiations to discuss the allocation of state seats.

“Although it is best to avoid three-cornered fights, the current situation does not allow it.

“So, we have to be ready for three-cornered fights, this is the fact,” he said, adding that the negotiations involved PH component parties PKR, Amanah, DAP and Bersatu.

Saifuddin said PAS was left out of the negotiations as the coalition stood by the decision made by its presidential council that it would face the coming polls without the Islamist party. – September 5, 2017.
